18.

Disciplinary Appeal - SM - Place Department

Minutes:

The Committee had been convened to consider a disciplinary appeal brought by SM, Place Services.

 

The Principal Human Resources Officer, the Senior Assistant Director - Place, Growth & Regulatory Services and SM appeared before the Committee. SM was given every opportunity to present their case to Members and ask questions of the Senior Assistant Director - Place, Growth & Regulatory Services.

 

Both parties were then given an opportunity to sum up before the Committee asked all parties to leave the meeting whilst they deliberated in private with their Solicitor. All parties were advised that they would be informed of the Committee’s decision by telephone, later that afternoon.

*           Resolved that the appeal be dismissed for the reasons set out in the detailed decision letter dated 30 January 2020 from the Senior Assistant Director – Place, Growth and Regulatory Services.
